Which contents can I expect in the course of my studies?

Due to the accelerating climate change and socio-political upheavals, companies, as well as banks and insurance companies, are increasingly required to actively contribute to mitigating global warming and to align their business models sustainably. Central to this is the transparency of this transformation process within sustainability reporting and its external auditing. The focus of the training for this field includes the following subjects:

  • Sustainable Corporate Management
  • Sustainability Reporting and Auditing
  • Corporate Governance
  • International Accounting
  • Quantitative Research Methods
  • Ecology

  • Elective areas in Finance, Mobility, Risk Management, etc.

Which career fields am I qualified for?

Our students will initially assist in preparing business decisions related to achieving sustainability goals in their desired roles within companies, as well as with service providers such as banks and insurance companies. With increasing experience, they will ultimately make these decisions independently. This primarily concerns the areas of planning, controlling, and accounting. Additionally, many companies are currently establishing central units that shape or coordinate sustainability efforts, often led by Chief Sustainability Officers (CSO). Graduates are well-positioned to play a significant role in these units. Furthermore, the specialization is specifically aimed at students who wish to work for service providers that support companies in the sustainable development of their business models or audit sustainability reporting. These include consulting firms and, above all, auditing companies.
