Workshop am 3. März 2011 in Duisburg: Experimental Perspectives on Behavioral Economics and Culture in East Asia

Organized by Sven Horak, Prof. Dr. Werner Pascha, Prof. Dr. Markus Taube, Dr. Gari Walkowitz (University of Cologne).

Culture as a factor for systematic decision making for every single person is still far away to gain a foothold in economical theory. Classic economical models are not flexible enough to discuss the factor culture in human behavior.

An experimental approach might be a good way to explore cultural parameter, their changing dynamics and their influence on economics. But while this methodology has established itself in the western world, it is still in the early stages of development in East Asia.

This workshop wants to support this approach and will present several lectures concerning this topic.

The program can be found here.

Venue: Mercure Hotel Duisburg-City, Landfermannstr. 20, 47051 Duisburg
Date: March 3, 2011
Time: 11.00 am – 6.30 pm, from 7.00 pm joint dinner
