9. Description of the study program

The primary idea of the study program is to provide students with further qualifications in their present or aspired professional field. The program includes a modern and fascinating range of subjects aimed at the major aspects of present and future management.

The Master program is characterized by its distinct scientific orientation, by the development of content elements according to current research problems, and the adequate design of teaching methods. Students gain extensive knowledge of relevant research methods and strategies, which enable them to solve complex problems independently. The continuous improvement of contents and student exchange structures plus a grown connection to local business enterprises make the Master program a specialized form of education based on solid general economic skills.

The Master program is designed to provide students with a scientific education that enables them to successfully fill any business position in the chosen sector. In addition to an extensive knowledge of economic facts and methods, students will also train their conceptual and analytical abilities in order to be able to react to the changes in a globalized business world. On the one hand, the Master program improves students' chances in the business world; on the other hand, it serves as a starting point for an academic career and supports young researchers' ambitions. Students' ability to find further scientific education in a doctoral program is guaranteed for by a focus on research competences. Moreover, the quota of more than 90% of the staff with a post-doctoral teaching qualification and the structural equipment of the faculty underline the research orientation of the Master program.
