In September 2007 the registered society „mercator business network – Dialog für Wissenschaft und Wirtschaft e.V.” was founded in cooperation with a number of more notable companies with origins in the region. The society is dedicated to an exchange of knowledge and experience between science, academic education and practical experience in all fields of accounting, auditing, controlling and corporate governance. The dialogue between the university and the companies is supposed to be enhanced by lectures, workshops and conferences. All companies and private persons are invited to join the mercator business network.
